Mildred Carroll Wiseman was born 17 December 1911 in Farmersville, Texas. She taught at Robert Lee High School and later at Angelo State University during a career that spanned four decades. She was a member of a number of organizations, including: Delta Kappa Gamma International Society, San Angelo Chapter of International Good Neighbor Council, ASU Women's Club, San Angelo Retired Teachers' Association, Texas State Teachers' Association, and the National Education Association.
